General Description

To support individuals in community-based employment opportunities, by developing job sites, collecting data at job sites to assist in appropriate job matching and facilitating the development of natural supports.

General Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalency.

· Minimum of at least one year of work experience in the field of developmental disabilities and mental health setting.

· ACRE certification preferred

· A safe driving record, current drivers’ license, and current motor vehicle liability insurance.

Job Responsibilities

1. Job Development including,

* Maintaining a log of business contacts established through phone calls, face to face, and virtual meetings.

* Delivery of a polished and professional marketing message when approaching prospective employers.

* Networking at various community events sponsored through local area Chambers of Commerce or other community events, as needed.

2. Job Coaching including,

* Data collection as required for ORS reports, (i.e. modified job analysis, situational assessment reaction sheet, Work Personality Profile, log of dates and times with anecdotal notes.)

* Transportation of participants to and from job sites, as needed.

* Supervision and on-the-job training of participants at the job site.

* Modifications of duties based on the participation needs, with permission from the job-site supervisor.

* Development of natural supports, including referrals to RIDE program, if appropriate.

* Transfer of pertinent information to other staff, and/or training of essential skills (i.e. job training in additional job coaches to ensure consistency of expectations) and other skills, as necessary.

3. Job Readiness Assistance including,

* Develop and teach vocational/work related skills and job preparedness.

* Assisting participants with completing job applications, cover letters and other business correspondence.

* Assisting participants with developing resumes.

* Career Counseling using various resources available, including labor market information accessed on the internet.

* Familiarity with local resources, especially NetWork RI offices.

4. Record keeping and documentation including,

* Data Collection.

* Quarterly goals and performance updates for each participant.

* A Vocational Profile, updated annually.

* Filing of all ORS and BHDDH reports.

5. Adhere to confidentiality guidelines outlined by agency policy, state regulations, HIPPA regulations

6. Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
