At Heartwood House Detox we are looking for dynamic EMT's to join our team for weekend shifts. We are a 6-bed fully licensed residential detox-only facility in Marin County.

Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time EMT to join our team and provide the best quality care to our clients who are making the life-changing decision to get off drugs/alcohol.

EMTs are responsible for new patient intakes, patient discharge, and collection of samples for testing. Other tasks that EMTs are responsible for include monitoring patients' vital signs, including their blood pressure, pulse, respiration & temperature.

EMTs are responsible for direct contact with patients. They record and update patient histories, keep track of how they are feeling and monitor their responses to medications and treatments via our EMR software, KIPU (this will include COWS/CIWA testing).

EMT’s will provide observation and care, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures of the state of CA.

Qualifications:

• EMT certification in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
• Sufficient experience to carry out the duties of this position.
• Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance
• Must have (or be able to provide upon hiring) proof of negative TB Test results
