Talascend is currently seeking Assembly-Electronic Troubleshooter for a contract opportunity in Minneapolis, MN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform, train and direct a group that performs the assembly, calibration, adjusting, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of components, devices, systems and test equipment.
Troubleshoot, maintain, repair and when required set up and operate miscellaneous micro processor or solid state circuitry controlled production machines and test equipment and perform computer input operations.
Performs, trains and directs a group of employees including technicians who perform the assembly, calibration, adjusting, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of production assemblies, components, devices and hardware systems and test equipment at a level consistent with the educational requirements stated at the end of this job description.

REQUIREMENTS:

Required to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Establish priorities for which jobs are to be done first.
Analyze and plan work assignments and assign employees accordingly.
Instruct employees on proper work methods and follow up on those instructions for correct performance.
Remain current on all standards and specifications affecting the group.
Prepare necessary paperwork relative to the group.
Refer unusual problems to Supervisor or representatives of other departments.
May be required to attend and participate in teaming activities to support business objectives.
Handles lightweight parts and materials, and heavy fixtures and devices.
Works seated and/or standing when performing job duties.
Good working conditions.
Must pass Soldering certification test.
Successful completion of classroom and/or on the job certification or qualification programs is required.
Must pass eye exam.
No drinking or eating in area.
