Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Electrical Supervisor is to develop a strong team of area electrical maintenance technicians. This development includes safety efforts and ideas, technical strengthening, as well as maintenance and operations team building and coordination. All these are critical to the continuous improvement of the overall operational mission. The Electrical Supervisor must oversee the electrical maintenance of area operations and all related equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible to design and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance as well as coordinate all special projects for the area. Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and team work while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site within our Quality Control System. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of supervising industrial maintenance personnel at the Lead level or above along with at least a total of four years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of overall maintenance process and specific electrical/ mechanical principles.
- 2+ years of experience supervising maintenance personnel at lead level or above.
