The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Acting on calls from and providing assistance to dealers, engineers, installers, customers, technicians, users and customer support staff
  • Aiding in support and troubleshooting of complex problems
  • Accessing company products remotely to troubleshoot
  • Performing pre-shipment tests
  • Traveling up to 45% to customer job sites to help troubleshoot because no one else is able to figure it out
  • Programming PLCs
  • Creating training materials and training others
  • Providing rotating after hours support

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

  • A related degree
  • Five years of technical product support experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Five years of experience understanding various schematics
  • Two years of Micrologix installation experience
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair PLCs
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
