The Electrical Reliability Engineer- Maintenance will be responsbile for developing and managing environmental projects from concept to completion.

• Under general supervision, work toward assuming engineering responsibility for plant and facilities. Design or assist in design, development, and testing of equipment or modifications to existing equipment. This shall include vendor and contractor selection and supervision for fabrication and installation projects. Create and maintain documentation for the aforementioned activities.
• Conducts field investigations and prepares reports for problems, issues and resolutions.
• Establishes and enforces performance levels and expectations in project plans and confirms conformance to project plans and specifications.
• Provides technical support for maintenance facilities including:

• Assist the Operations and Maintenance craftsmen with high-level troubleshooting (covered partially in Item 4)
• This will normally consist of assisting electricians, MTS-PF, engineers, and operators to diagnose extended equipment problems or recurring equipment problems that are not solved by craftsmen or as requested by supervisor.
• Assist engineering personnel by researching recurring problems and making recommendations to solve issues as requested.Review parts identified as obsolete by purchasing or OEM(s)
  • • Review and recommend replacement components and plan & execute upgrades.
    • Intended to be limited to single components or minor systemsAssure compliance to applicable codes and Loss Prevention practices.
• Assure compliance to applicable codes and Loss Prevention practices.
• Support the proper back-ups of machine programming, etc.
• Support all data collection activities for process, operations, and maintenance data requirements.
• Supports and encourages employee involvement in continuous improvement activities including Safety Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, TPM and Maintenance Excellence activities.
• Lead the Maintenance Team in updates and improvements to the LO/TO procedures.
• Support and participate in 70E improvement activities.
• Electrical responsibility for both Brass Mill and Casting Plant, as needed.

The Electrical Engineer - Maintenance will have a high degree of latitude in design, development, and implementation of projects that resolve issues with old or obsolete equipment, improvements to electrical systems, and new technologies.

Qualifications of our ideal Electrical Reliability Engineer- Maintenance:

• 4-Year Electrical Engineering degree.
• Ability to work weekends and OT if needed
• Strong electrical, electronic, PLC and process computer system troubleshooting skills on complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in the engineering and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment
