Electrical Engineer – Little Rock, AR
Halff Associates has an immediate opening for a Licensed Electrical Engineer (P.E.) to work in the Little Rock office.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for planning and preparing engineered contract documentation for assigned projects, working with or as an electrical Project Manager to meet deadlines, aiding in or providing engineering decisions, and collaboration with other engineers, architects, and/or owners.
  • Responsible for multiple projects which may consist of performing and scheduling work, materials, manpower, and information to ensure attainment of scope/project performance and construction schedules. Creating electrical project construction documents, plans, specifications, design analyses’ and cost estimates for robust and reliable electrical/lighting system designs.
  • Responsible for on-site visits as necessary to collect existing condition information, attend meetings, respond to construction inquiries, site observations and developing or maintaining client relationships. Construction activities when necessary may include shop drawing reviews, responding to RFI’s, resolving construction difficulties and coordinating field installations as required for each project to meet deadlines, and quality standards while adhering to ethical and efficient standard procedures.
Electrical Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Architecture/Engineering.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and have ability through NCEES to be licensed in other states.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in engineering, designing, and producing lighting, lighting control, power distribution, and branch circuiting for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional projects.
  • Experienced in lighting/lighting control, power design, distribution of normal and emergency power systems, and special systems design including Fire Alarm, Information technologies, and control systems.
  • Knowledge of the NEC, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and associated NFPA standards.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (BIM); SKM Systems Analysis and Visual Tools.
  • High level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organization skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
