6 months contract
Provide detailed technical quality control and quality assurance reviews on wildfire mitigation program projects focusing on overhead and underground line distribution less than 36kV including, but not limited to engineering design, estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, material procurement, constructability, construction phasing, customer and/or jurisdictional easement acquisition, and environmental impacts.

Provide engineering assistance to other departments and perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Keep informed of industry issues and technical trends that can benefit the Company as is relates to the wildfire mitigation program.

Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.

Five or more years of experience as a practicing engineer in related engineering applications or other related industry experience.

Licensed PE preferred.

Must have significant engineering knowledge of the electrical utility industry related to the design and installation of distribution line and equipment design, construction phasing, constructability.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Strong technical writing skills including the ability to communicate a basic understanding of technical information to non-technical people.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Project management skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Cross functional skills: ability and willingness to cross over to construction coordination or project management work on specific projects.

Critical thinking and decision-making skills to develop and present technical recommendations

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour
