We are currently hiring an Electrical Engineer at our new plant in Hopkinsville, KY!!

This position is responsible for leading front end projects focused on the handling, discharge, and disassembly of spent EV batteries for chemical conversion to new battery cathode. This person will also be responsible for leading electrical and electronic controls projects throughout the battery materials production plant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical leadership for the capital equipment process including technical specification creation, vendor selection and qualification, equipment design/build, FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and optimization.
• Lead Electrical interface with EPC firm and construction contractor to effectively design and execute plant electrical, data, and controls systems
• Develop and deploy efficient, effective, and safe methods for battery pack, module, and cell discharge.
• Project leadership for electrical and automation projects throughout the plant design process
• Support the production plant’s technical staff to meet plant metrics with robust processes and quality systems based on the APQP tool kit.

Education and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or applicable engineering field. Advanced degree a plus.
• 3+ years of experience with Lithium Ion Battery charging or discharging or relevant high voltage DC systems.
• Experience in process and or plant design, build out, and optimization of recycling, chemical or advanced materials technologies a plus.

This position will be located in Hopkinsville, KY with travel up to 25%
