Finding the right fit:

The Ayres Midwest Gausman & Moore MEP Division is seeking to hire a full-time electrical designer. You ll be working with a great group of people on a diverse variety of projects. As a new employee, you won t just work anonymously on a conveyor belt of projects. Instead, you ll interact with project managers and other design staff that have forged long-term relationships with clients. On any given day, you ll:

  • Model buildings using Revit family of tools.
  • Perform power, lighting and systems design.
  • Run energy calculations using ComCheck and EnergyPro.
  • Run site lighting photometric calculations.
  • Run power distribution analysis using SKM PowerTools
  • May be called upon to complete 2D-drafting using AutoCAD tools.
  • Coordinate electrical design with mechanical and architectural team.

Required qualifications:

  • An associates degree in electrical design including engineering technology, bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology, or a bachelor s degree in architectural engineering with an emphasis on electrical.
  • 0-4 years of related engineering experience.

Desired skills and experiences:

  • Strong modeling skills.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with SKM PowerTools, Visual, ComCheck, EnergyPro
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams or similar online meeting applications
  • Willingness to work in a team environment with members throughout the United States
