Finding the right fit:
The Ayres Midwest Gausman & Moore MEP Division is seeking to hire a full-time electrical designer. You ll be working with a great group of people on a diverse variety of projects. As a new employee, you won t just work anonymously on a conveyor belt of projects. Instead, you ll interact with project managers and other design staff that have forged long-term relationships with clients. On any given day, you ll:
- Model buildings using Revit family of tools.
- Perform power, lighting and systems design.
- Run energy calculations using ComCheck and EnergyPro.
- Run site lighting photometric calculations.
- Run power distribution analysis using SKM PowerTools
- May be called upon to complete 2D-drafting using AutoCAD tools.
- Coordinate electrical design with mechanical and architectural team.
Required qualifications:
- An associates degree in electrical design including engineering technology, bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or engineering technology, or a bachelor s degree in architectural engineering with an emphasis on electrical.
- 0-4 years of related engineering experience.
Desired skills and experiences:
- Strong modeling skills.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with SKM PowerTools, Visual, ComCheck, EnergyPro
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Teams or similar online meeting applications
- Willingness to work in a team environment with members throughout the United States
