About this role
We currently have an opportunity for an E-design Sales Support Manager to join Carrier University. This individual will focus on the management, training, and marketing of Carrier’s eDesign Suite of software programs created specifically for HVAC system design engineers. These programs assist the designer with peak load calculation, system design, building energy modeling, energy analysis, lifecycle cost analysis, and refrigerant piping design. The position will provide in depth training, and general support for corporate trainers, contractors, and training managers using traditional classroom instruction, virtual, on-line, and blended learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive actionable marketing strategies based on a clear understanding of the market and business dynamics, the voice of customer insights, customer journeys, and brand positioning to drive revenue.
  • Develop relevant messaging and assets using a consumer-first mentality that delivers a clear customer understanding of Carrier’s eDesign software products
  • Market intelligence. Keep profiles on our competitors – strengths & weaknesses, recent announcements, anticipate actions and responses.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and product management team to develop an ongoing customer communication strategy and the sales tools to assist with the selling process.
  • Support customer inquiries for maximizing efficient software usage and unique or difficult system design applications.
  • Support commercial events including sales meetings and tradeshows.
  • Provide product information, legal approved product claims to support the preparation of marketing materials. Provide support for product videos or online learning module script development and review.
  • Create, maintain and facilitate engaging training assets, including presentations, micro-videos, job aides, and how-to processes.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person training classes both independently and in support of local sales representatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in applied HVAC equipment
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in applied HVAC equipment; preferably in sales
  • Knowledge of HVAC design and application tools
  • Controls experience a plus
  • PE Certification desired, LEED AP accreditation a plus
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Team-oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experienced creative writer with exemplary attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to deliver business results
  • Strong collaboration, project management, and analytical skills
  • Experience in establishing commercial models for SaaS products is
