Princeville Elementary is a public elementary school located in Princeville, North Carolina. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students can achieve academic excellence and personal growth.

We serve students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. We offer a wide range of educational programs and services. Our experienced and dedicated teachers are committed to providing a challenging curriculum that prepares students for success in middle school and beyond.

We seek a highly motivated and dedicated elementary special education teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, collaborating with general education teachers, and ensuring that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide accommodations and modifications to meet the needs of students with disabilities.

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic and functional areas.

• Conduct assessments, analyze data, and use it to inform instructional decision-making and monitor student progress.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and attendance.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to report updates on student progress and discuss concerns.

• Participate in Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and other team meetings as necessary.

• Attend professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.

• Appropriate state certification in special education.

• Experience working with students with disabilities in an elementary setting.

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong instructional and behavior management skills.

Pay: $40,723.13 - $49,042.90 per year
