The Big Picture:

Mortenson is currently seeking an Early Talent Associate Talent Acquisition Program Specialist to join the Mortenson family. The Early Talent Associate Talent Acquisition Program Specialist is responsible for supporting and assisting the talent acquisition team to support business strategic objectives and business relationships.

What will you be doing?

Facilitate the coordination of logistics for recruiting events in partnership with internal and external stakeholders

  • Register for career related events and coordinate event shipment logistics
  • Manage the interview scheduling process utilizing candidate management systems
  • Monitor shared inbox and manage event confirmations and details

Design and develop best in class in-person and virtual experiences that support the conversion of talent into full-time hires

  • Support summer internship program activities and engage year- round interns
  • Partner on training of mentors and managers
  • Implement and execute a year-round keep warm campaign (intern & FT)
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding experience
  • Manage intern evaluation process and partner with internal stakeholders to aid intern conversions

Support non-profit partnerships to develop the next generation of talent

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external non-profit partners to attract, support, and retain diverse talent
  • Plan and attend in-person and virtual events to engage diverse talent

Provide general support to team as needed

Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

How will you succeed?

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to use PC and widely used software packages, e.g., spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (MS Word), HRIS/database
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-4 years recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
