HPC-Industrial is looking for a Seismic Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! The Seismic Mechanic is responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC-Industrial jobs across all services lines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Drive vehicles including manual and automatic transmission
  • Drive equipment
  • Move crews around
  • Clean up garbage, including all work areas (On-line, in vehicles, on drill and at staging)
  • Wash vehicles and drills when required
  • Operate seismic equipment for testing purposes.
  • Welding on equipment and parts
  • Good mechanical knowledge of operation of seismic equipment
  • Climbing over/through, Light terrain (mulched), Medium terrain (hand cut), Heavy terrain (no cut)
  • Fuel Logs


    • Time Sheets

    • Audits on Drill

    • Audits on Trucks

    • Audits for general safety
  • JSA/TSA

    • Orientations for new hires

    • Safety meetings

    • Hazard ID cards

    • Tailgate Meetings
  • Employee evaluations
  • Preform other duties and task assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the HPC-Industrial business.

Qualifications

Working Environment:

  • Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.

Skills and Experience:

  • Heavy duty equipment repair and maintenance
  • Seismic equipment repair and maintenance
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Able to work outdoors in cold and hot environments
  • Able to read a map correctly
  • Able to use a VHF radio
  • Driver's License required.
  • Requires speaking, listening, and acuity
  • Requires speaking, listening, and acuity
  • Requires walking, stooping, and crouching
  • Requires lifting, pulling, pushing, or carrying up to 10 lbs.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma plus specialized training. Heavy duty mechanic or equivalent
