Vitalant is currently seeking Donor Relations Specialists for our donor centers located in Arlington Heights, Glenview, Villa Park, Schaumburg and Lincoln Park, Il.

We are seeking individuals who have a heart for helping others and a passion for savings lives. As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for greeting donors when they come in to help save lives through blood and blood product donation. You will be providing education to Donors on the different types of blood products needed to save lives, making them feel comfortable, answering any pre-donation questions and signing them up for their next visit.

Every day in the U.S., patients in hospitals, surgical centers and emergency treatment facilities need approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells, 5,000 units of platelets and 6,500 units of plasma. Our Donors are a critical part of the Vitalant mission to provide these critically needed blood and blood products. As a Donor Relations Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring that our Donors have the best possible experience by feeling valued and eager to return for their next visit.

What to Expect

Pay: $18.37-19.88 / Hour (Depending on experience)

Schedule: Friday -Sunday 6:30-2pm (weekend shift differential applies) and Monday and Tuesday hours vary by location.

Hours for Arlington Heights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:30a-2p - Monday 11:30a-7:30p - Tuesday 9a-5p (WED/THURS OFF)

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Greets blood donors and make them comfortable before they go to their procedure.
  • Feels comfortable in providing information to Donors on the types of blood product donations critically needed and potentially converting their donation to cover a critical need.
  • Ability to communicate with the Donor after the procedure and schedule a return visit.
  • Experienced meeting and exceeding company driven metrics.
  • Comfortable contacting Donors by phone and providing follow up as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/ Education
High school graduate or GED required.

Licenses/ Certifications
None.

Experience
One year experience in related field required.
