The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to serve on the Data Analytics Team. In this position, you will be responsible for:
* Data collection, maintenance and statistical analysis activities
* Independently designing and developing meaningful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards
* Conducting research and analyzing complex problems and statistical data
* Analyzing data to identify potential solutions and present recommendations to executives
* Participating on projects teams ensuring data requirements are defined and documented
* Coordinating and assisting with Data Governance activities
* Compiling and presenting outcomes of analyses to management

DMV, headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, serves approximately 6.2 million licensed drivers and ID card holders with over 8.4 million registered vehicles. Minimum Qualifications

Extensive experience conducting research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and statistical analysis; preparing reports independently that provide clear, and compelling results for recommendations that allow for sound business decisions to be made
Possess skill for the utilization of data tools to create advanced data visualizations and dashboards
Extensive knowledge of data analytics and methodologies
Experience in researching and analyzing complex problems and statistical data for policy and decision-making and to formulate alternative solutions
Experience in public and business administration principles and practices; organization management and operations principles and practices; and methodologies for improving organizational performance
Experience in planning, participating, facilitating, and leading projects cross-sectional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication and to deliver effective presentations regarding projects and analyses
Extensive skill in the use of a personal computer and experience in spreadsheet, database, and flowcharting software
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Tableau and/or Power BI.
Experience in analyzing results of customer or employee surveys.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tableau and/or Power BI experience
Graduated from an accredited college or university or extensive experience in data science or related field.
