Medical Motor Service of Rochester & Monroe County, Inc Rochester, NY 14620
We are looking for a Weekend Dispatcher with experience in the Transportation Industry.
Hours would be 7am-4pm, Sat/Sun.
$16/hour or more (based on experience)
- Ensure efficient and timely completion of trip assignments, assigning drivers as operational needs required
- Updating information and changes in a specialized computer system
- Re-assign drivers, as necessary, updating the information in the system and notifying appropriate managers/scheduling staff
- Monitoring driver activity for cancellations and availability for trips
- Handle driver requests for emergency assistance
- Review all driver routes to ensure that vehicles are efficiently used in terms of capacity

- Coordinate problem resolution.
- Monitor allocation of driver’s time to minimize use of overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma
2. At least two years of consistent dispatching experience for Monroe County and one year transporting passengers preferred
Skills:
- Ability to interact with passengers, co-workers, and clients in an appropriate and courteous manner
- Computer skills and attention to accuracy and details
- Able to communicate concisely and make sound decisions
- Ability to read maps and determine the best route to a destination
- Ability to operate and communicate over a send-receive radio
- Knowledge of the Rochester area
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
