Overview:
Your Role: This position will provide support to the Transportation Department in coordination with customers, suppliers, drivers, and other Dot/DTI employees.

Department: Dot Transportation
Reports To: Asst. Transportation Manager
Your Role: This position will provide support to the Transportation Department in coordination with customers, suppliers, drivers, and other Dot/DTI employees.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers
- Provide DTI phone coverage
- Schedule appointments for deliveries and pick-ups
- Communicate with drivers on schedules and work assignments
- Prepare necessary paperwork for drivers
- Set up and maintain system to accurately track internal quality measures
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
- Additional responsibilities as business needs require

We Need You To Have:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree
- Excellent mathematical and reading skills
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
We’d Like You To Have:
- Administrative / clerical experience preferred
- Effective professional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in both team and independent settings
- Good organizational skills
