The Director Track and Trace Order Management is accountable for the flow of Burlington merchandise from our vendors to the Burlington DC’s. This individual will lead and direct all strategic activities including the development of transportation strategies, policies, programs and systems to support the future growth of the Purchase Order (PO) Tracking Program.

  • Lead and develop members of the Global Logistics team as well as securing cross functional resources for large scale improvement programs. Manage a team of direct reports to handle and problem solve transportation, logistics and Vendor On Boarding related questions from merchant partners as well as our vendor community.
  • Map current processes in order to diagnose issues and then provide a framework by which to address, prioritize, and resolve any inconsistencies or inefficiencies. Develop, update and rollout SOP for the teams with training in place for any future changes in processes.
  • Manage, and where it doesn’t already exist, build & streamline operational processes to build a successful organization.

  • Coordinate face to face meetings with all levels with our vendors while leading the development and improvement of relationships with our vendor partners.
  • Collaborate closely with merchandising, DCs and our partners in Global Logistics on a daily basis to ensure that they are delivering what we need to lead vendors effectively.
  • Development/update of strategic plan to increase on time fill rate and overall monthly receipts including resources, systems and processes that support business objectives.
  • Reinforce supply chain standards and processes with our vendor community.
  • Manage and provide insight on several strategic supporting the Burlington 2.0 initiatives.
  • Provide updates of supply chain initiatives to team and develop proper training and rollout timing.
  • Partner with IT department as well as third party partners to develop a roadmap for data and information sharing through existing systems as well as seek opportunities to update current systems and visibility.
  • Oversee investigations by direct reports into causes of merchant or vendor identified issues/concerns regarding Supply Chain service levels and responds accordingly.
  • Participate in updating Burlington’s vendor manual by providing insight on any updates or changes based on market trends.
  • Enhance on boarding process / program within the team while utilizing other areas of Vendor Relations to create a best in class program.
  • Work with third party partner to create robust online on boarding program.
  • Monitor the external environment and internal trends to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the supply chain
  • Lead with collaboration, a growth attitude, be data driven and remain focused on key priorities.
  • Research, analyze, develop and manage projects, including reporting and presenting results, and devising recommendations for change in processes and procedures.
  • Provide data analytics on the performance of the operation through regular Key Performance Indicators and shared as part of a departmental vendor scorecard with Vendor Relations.
  • Plays a leadership role in identifying ongoing cross functional process improvement opportunities including education in regards to the shipping and on boarding process that will ultimately reduce merchant time with operational activities.
  • Representing Burlington and the Global Supply Chain team as an executive leader at industry venues and events.
  • Any other responsibilities that management deems essential
  • Manages a team of 2 Direct Reports and 32 Indirect

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Retail Buying along with Management Experience.
