Coordinate students in transition, McKinney-Vento work, and all related record keeping

Coordinate the expulsion process

Serve as corporation Title IX administrator

Support Social and Emotional Learning K-12

Coordinate attendance intervention / support / discussion

Cultivate community partnerships to support students

Seek grant opportunities to support students

Support of students or staff in crisis events

Coordinate the formal complaint process

Facilitate the review and revision of the Student Rights and Responsibility Handbook

Monitor student service related compliance- Anti-bullying, child abuse prevention, etc.

Serve as District DCS Point Person

Build the capacity of others around state and federal regulations related to students

Create diversion and other programs to give schools options for student intervention

Comprehensive understanding of the role of school counseling and school social work in supporting all students

Ability to lead complex change processes, and to grow the perspective and capacity of others

Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local regulations regarding McKinney-Vento and other programs to serve students
-
Considerable knowledge of the County and School Board policies, procedures and standards regarding education
-
Considerable knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations
-
Skill in assisting, developing and supporting staff

Ability to accurately interpret state and federal regulations and school policies
-
Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments

Indiana Educational Leadership License

Masters Degree
