MEDcare Urgent Care has been proudly providing top-ranked patient care to South Carolina communities since 2007. We are actively recruiting for a Director of Operations to serve as the leader for our 6 locations in Charleston.

The Director of Operations is responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, and executing MEDcare Urgent Care’s operational needs. By partnering with our national leadership team as well as local center leads, the Director of Operations will create and maintain dynamic shift schedules for our teams, process payroll, manage finances, assist with patient service recovery, and drive other key operational initiatives.

MEDcare Directors are crucial mentors in developing strong teams and maintaining competency with professional skills. MEDcare is in the process of adapting a new training paradigm designed to support team members in the acquisition of skills supporting our Mission to provide fast, friendly, and affordable healthcare in every community.

Additionally, the Director of Operations works closely with national leadership in all arenas of managing Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, including credentialing support.

Requirements:


Some responsibilities include:

  • Leading both center-specific and market-wide projects to meet and exceed operational goals.
  • Assisting the Patient Experience Team to maintain optimal patient satisfaction metrics, and support in service-recovery.
  • Creating and maintaining center schedules and forecasting models for hiring in support of center operations.
  • Managing electronic time entries, attendance, and time-off requests, to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Supporting the local teams by rearranging staff to cover “open shifts” due to sick call, patient volume and/or other unplanned events, including inclement weather.
  • Participating in a rotating schedule to provide weekend operational support to centers.
  • Maintaining centers, including but not limited to managing equipment, inventory, and supply invoices.
  • Overseeing and following-up on help desk tickets related to IT and Construction/Facilities departments to ensure completion.
  • Ensuring compliance of clinical and operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
