Position Summary
The primary purpose and responsibility of the position is the overall operations of student financial aid at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans through development, implementation, and administration of financial aid services on the health sciences campus. The Director of Financial Aid reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and is responsible for operationalizing and directing all planning to meet institutional short term, intermediate and long-term goals for the financial aid office and programs. The director is responsible to develop, implement and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations and is responsible for the development and implementation of university policies as they relate to all student assistance programs. In addition, the director isresponsible for providing day-to-day oversight of the office that includes staff and ensuring that all financial aid systems, supporting technology and ancillary systems are in place and operationalized, optimized, effective, and up to date.
