What you'll do ...
This individual is responsible for reviewing and assigning group sales files for detailing and facilitating, liaison between Meeting Planners, Sales and Operations, conducting pre-cons, performance appraisals, supervising, training and developing Team Members. The Director of Event Planning will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
What'll you need ...
- Strong leadership and interdepartmental skills
- Work in conjunction with the other members of the sales
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of catering experience, hotels preferred
- Highly developed business communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Able to execute a Sales and Marketing Plan to enhance revenue
- Creativity in designing events and menus in conjunction with the culinary department to maximize operating profit
- Strong time management skills
- Previous experience leading and directing a team
- Confident and professional appearance
