About the Role
As part of our team, you’ll play a critical role in managing projects, guiding clients and leading digital strategy and coordinating projects. The Associate Director of Digital Strategy is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of digital strategy initiatives and owns specific, high-priority and high-visibility projects. They are expected to identify opportunities to improve the strategy discipline by bringing new ideas, approaches and frameworks. They actively mentor and guide more junior strategy team members with hands-on support and guidance. This role is hybrid and only in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Builds and manages relationships with existing client base; Serve as daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate
  • Plays a major role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive client campaigns and strategies
  • Oversees quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence
  • Help set client program goals and manage against them
  • Craft internal and external correspondence, communications plans, press materials, statements, new business proposals, etc.
  • Guide integrated strategies and program execution spanning owned, earned and paid channels
  • Help mentor, coach and support team members and ensure you and your staff are constantly learning
  • Oversee junior staff’s work products to ensure quality and consistency
  • Set achievable goals and tasks, delegate opportunities and provide resources for staff to meet their goals; consistently measure and reward goal achievement
  • Demonstrate understanding of core financial constructs including revenue, profitability, pricing structures (hourly vs. retainer accounts), budgeting and forecasting
  • Effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines
  • Manage and solve any conflicts with clients or any problems they may have
  • Interact and coordinate with the leadership team and other staff members in other departments working on the same account
  • Oversee and assist with content development
  • Keep up with trends, changes, and competitor actions that might affect clients

Requirements:
  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Digital Strategy, or related experience
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills
  • A great presenter, capable of inspiring creative team members and clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Firm grasp of emerging digital tools
  • Thorough understanding of digital touch points
  • Possess broad knowledge of the best digital practices
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Agency experience

Additional Desired Skills:
  • Social paid advertising implementation
  • Creative copywriting for search, display, and social ads
  • Proficient in the use of Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager
