To achieve this, Global Supply Chain began an evolution to become a more agile organization – to be faster and better at delivering what our customers need.

The Global Transportation and TMS Director that will drive transformation within our Global Supply Chain team. In this challenging role you will lead implementing and governing the Global Transportation and Logistics process strategy to include TMS implementation. You will be a change agent with a strong team to support this and other strategic initiatives.

A Day in the Life

  • Implement and Govern the Global Transportation & Logistics process strategy and, Transportation Management System, which includes, but is not limited to, a focus on policy, processes, technology, and change management to support business decision-making.
  • Responsible for the Global Implementation, performance, reporting, and on-going operations of the Global Transportation Management Systems
  • Responsible for ongoing global transportation process enhancements across all Regions level in alignment with Enterprise Deliver CEO guidance
  • Identify the proper KPI’s to measure improvements in the global Transportation network including leading and lagging indicators.
  • Partners with other Deliver functions to drive end to end improvements, ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Documents processes, procedures, and training materials in alignment with common GSC and DELIVER standards
  • Facilitates connection with Regional / Business OU Process Leads to maintain global alignment on process improvements and understand Region, Function, and OU challenges/needs
  • Implement Global Transportation processes, tools, and metrics for OU, Functions, and Regions
  • Dangerous Goods process implementation
  • Partner with Global Deliver leadership to ensures that Customer Care / Customer Service needs are exceeded through deploying transportation decision making and exception management tools, and technology to improve operational efficiency and associated Customer Experience
  • Expand Global Transportation Claims process
  • Support PVC and RFP process to ensure our global transportation carrier relationships follow the designed process.
  • Evaluate, Develop, and Maintain KPIs for the transportation strategy reflecting overall goals of the global Deliver processes
  • Lead the Global Delivery Sustainability and BCP processes
  • Implement proactive innovation from the Deliver CEO regarding Transportation at a global level resulting in best practice and knowledge sharing
  • Significantly improves, changes or adapts transportation and logistics processes, to support the transformation of the Global Supply Chain.

SUCCESS MEASURES:

  • Reduce Global transportation cost (Transportation as % Revenue)
  • Successful implementation of TMS
  • Meet or exceed the Global Transportation KPIs and Metrics implementing standard Process
  • Develop and implement robust GFAP Process

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience

  • Implementation and execution of a global multi-modal Transportation Management Systems
  • Implementing Transportation processes within a large, complex organization including integrating industry/market intelligence from different operating entities; distribution / transportation partners; and customers to continuously improve competitive position.
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills across a global organization to develop long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to interact and effectively communicate with Executive management and all levels of the organization related to operational changes and strategic initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal / collaborative skills including exceptional negotiation and facilitator skills to effective influence and reach consensus, buy-in, commitment, and accountability to ensure process execution
  • Change agent, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Distribution & Network Design systems and processes
