Direct Support Professional Job at Tiegerman Community Services
Tiegerman Community Services is currently seeking Full Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for our Day habilitation programs in Long Island
Days- Monday-Friday Hours- 7:30AM-3:30PM
Programs are located in Bethpage and Westbury
Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour
Qualifications
Valid NYS driver’s license (3+ years)
High School Diploma/G.E.D
Specific Duties:
Assist individuals with activities for daily living and skills
Teach vocational skills
Assist individuals in pursuing individualized goals related to their social, recreational and personal preferences.
Engage and assist in community outings
Supervise individuals with their needs throughout the program day.
Complete required documentation.
Complete all required training.
Attend required staff meetings and trainings
Ensure the health and safety of all participants
Assists with planning activities and community outings.
Assist with person-centered planning.
Work on individualized goals, needs and preferences
Conveys relevant information to supervisors relating to participants and the program.
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Asst. Manager, and Administration.
Provide transportation to participants.
Tiegerman Community Services follows all guidance from OPWDD related to COVID-19 precautions.
