The primary responsibility of the Food Runner is to expedite all food orders taken by the Bartenders and Cocktail Servers to the guest quickly.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve Food in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the food order is correct before serving to the guests.
  • Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests’ needs.
  • Describe in detail the preparation methods and ingredients of all the menu items.
  • Carry multiple dishes (up to 3 at one time) in one hand without tray service.
  • Refresh flatware after each course or upon guest request.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area/station.
  • Ensure that your work area/station is clean and stocked at all times.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • Extensive Knowledge of food and beverage products.
  • Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sales systems.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff, and management.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly.
    • Visual ability needed to accurately measure ingredients for mixing drinks.
    • Fast-paced, high-volume environment involving constant public.
    • Requires standing, walking, and lifting a minimum of 20 lbs repeatedly.
    • Shifts may vary based on business needs.
    • Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
    • Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work requires 6 months of previous food server/running experience.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
  • Work requires interactions with customers, the public, and co-workers.
  • Work requires teamwork with other staff members.

EDUCATION:

  • High School education or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:

  • Food Safety Team Member Training is required.
  • Tam Card Required
