Job Summary:
The Digital Print Lead will be responsible for ensuring print jobs are coordinated and executed on time and within the quality requirements. The Digital Print lead will provide direction and assign tasks to the Digital Print Operators. The Digital Print Lead is responsible for ensuring that new jobs or programming changes are launched correctly into Production, by providing samples, and by updating and processes and procedures impacted by the changes. The Digital Print Lead will be responsible for the training of new Digital Print Operators.Job Duties:
- Established the schedule for the print production orders based on the merging requirements.
- Supports Digital Print Operators directly in the completion of work.
- Processes print ready files on production equipment.
- Operate Ricoh C9110, Ricoh 751C, HPM 806 printers, and any new printers.
- Creates standards for printer set-up for each job type.
- Sign-offs for document composition for new items
- Provide input for hiring and performance reviews of Operators
- Track and report on daily production statistics
- Submits print files to printers.
- Verify printer alignment is set up correctly and make adjustments if required.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure product is compliant.
- Place Service Calls when required.
- Clear out printer jams as required.
- Ensure job print tickets are scanned in IQ.
- Fill out daily production logs.
- Responsible for keeping work area organized and clean.
- Follow remake procedures.
- Operate cutters and other finishing equipment as required.
- Lead training of new operators.
- Send meter reads monthly, work directly with suppliers to schedule maintenance and service.
- Comply with G&D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- Work performed in a light industrial setting.
- Required to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to distinguish color variations.
- Must be able to work assigned overtime as needed.
- Must be flexible to switch shifts when required for training and coverage purposes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
- Must be a quality and efficiency minded individual.
- Ability to run Ricoh and HP digital and laser jet print machines.
- Color Management Experience
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to multi-task
- Mathematical Ability
- Strong computer skills
- High School Diploma +5 years of Experience or Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree in any field.
- Excellent eye for detail
