Dietary Cook Job at BSG Maintenance Inc
BSG is the premier leader in contracted housekeeping, laundry, and dietary services to medical and long-term health care facilities. We are looking for Dietary Cooks.
The role of the Dietary Cook is described in detail below and must be performed in a manner that sufficiently meets client satisfaction. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by BSG Maintenance location based on client requirements and business needs.
Dietary Cook
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Stock and label ingredients for convenient accessibility.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking the meals
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees, desserts etc.
- Maintain a clean kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, removing trash...
- Ensure food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:
- Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor, and other employees.
- Flexibility & ability to adapt to changing needs each day.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Adaptability to perform a variety of duties and repetitive tasks.
- Must be prompt and adhere to scheduled hours.
