JOB TITLE: DIETARY AIDE
DEPARTMENT: DIETARY
REPORTS TO: DIETARY SERVICE SUPERVISOR
JOB SUMMARY:
Helps as required in all dietary functions as directed and instructed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Read, understand, and speak proficient English
Experience: Prior Dietary experiences helpful but training available.
Job Knowledge: Be able to train and participate in staff development
Standard: State Department of Health
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares trays and serves foods according to menus.
- Delivers trays units to unit.
- Collects and strips tray for dish washing.
- Performs dishwashing procedures including pots and pans and all equipment.
- Sets up for next meal.
- Performs cleaning duties in kitchen – serving areas and equipment.
- Checks incoming supplies and restocks storerooms.
- Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishment as ordered by nursing units.
OTHER JOB FUNCTINS:
- Performs other duties as directed or required.
- Employees are required to stay at their positions until replacements have been
brought in
