Diaz Produce Inside Sales - Bilingual (Spanish) Job at Diaz Foods
Summary: Sells to and services new and existing accounts, maintaining and increasing the level of sales and profit margins. Develops new business while achieving exceptional customer service.
Candidates must be bilingual and speak English and Spanish.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides exceptional customer service and sales support to Diaz Produce and its customers in the following aspects:
- Greets customers in the warehouse or on the telephone and expedites customer orders
- Provides customer with information including the status of orders, product specifications, daily pricing fax sheets, inventory levels and other sales related details
- Increases sales to current customers and opens and reactivates accounts for prospective and past customers
- Promotes customer (sales) retention to include calling a minimum of eight existing accounts to promote new products, slow movement, etc. and submits a daily report of accounts contacted
- Handles prospecting for customers and qualifying prospects
- Quotes prices and maintains up to date customer prices
- Receive payments in cash and checks and maintain accurate cash drawer balances
- Support Purchasing by order market shorts and coordinating pickups
- Provides a consistent, quality level of service to include initiating and follow-up with customers to sell or resolve problems and answer questions
- Contacts regional accounts assigned by the supervisor
- Resolves customer complaints effectively and promptly
- Provides delivery information and handles special requests
- Maintains professional telephone skills and attitude
- Ensure that AS400 has all current information on each customer
Supplemental Functions:
- Plans and controls activities-work with supervisor in developing sales targets
- Prepares and submits a weekly report attached to end of week daily report and other reports as requested by supervisor
- Attends Sales and/or staff meetings
- Studies the market, the customer and monitors competitive actions
- Promotes the positive image of the organization from a customer perspective
- Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change and all requirements are subject to modification
Requirements:
- Fresh Produce experience preferred, but not required
- Good understanding of working relationships between all internal Diaz Foods departments a plus
- Ability to coordinate project tasks between Diaz Produce and Diaz Foods
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Customer Service or Sales Experience;
- Analytical skills
- Minimal travel required
