Position Purpose

The Development Associate will support the Senior Manager National Events and Senior Manager of Database Operation nationwide in building a comprehensive and sustainable philanthropic development program focused on major gifts in the region. The Development Associate will facilitate and support overall development operations focused on event donations and attendance, donor relations, and data entry and event systems. This position is located in Milwaukee but is part of a national fundraising team that is quickly growing its capacity and operations.

Essential Functions

  • Reports directly to the Senior Manager National Events and dotted line to Senior Manager of Database Operations executing general gift entry, event data, and event logistics and follow-up.
  • Supports the leadership development team, including the Senior Director of Development Induvial Giving on fundraising work as needed. This could include donor relations and attending community events.
  • Works with the Senior Manager Database Operations to ensure data integrity in Raiser’s Edge, enters gifts and coordinate accurate acknowledgment letter process.
  • Represents Vivent Health at local community events and fundraising events.
  • Manages and recruits local event volunteers.
  • Other appropriate duties, as required.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in development, sales, or an equivalent field with a focus on data entry and personal relations such as customer service.
  • Previous experience using Raiser’s Edge prefered. Equivalent database experiences accepted.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and PC proficiency required. Intermediate to advanced excel skills prefered.
  • Ability to drive personal vehicle to support fundraising events and functions and ability to maintain valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance.
  • Experience in healthcare a plus.
