Summary Description:

Work with each individual to help them realize their vocational goals through assessment, job development and job placement. Program development, administrative responsibilities, and knowledge of job development planning and implementation. Assist the Employment Supervisor and Program Director in the following: coordination of all individual services, liaison with affiliate community employers and partners, other agency employees, families, government agencies and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work collaboratively with Employment Supervisor, Employment Specialists, Job Coaches, and other Price Center employees.

2. Develop partnerships and alliances within the local community to further the mission of the Employment Services.

3. Organize public relations activities, promote disability awareness within the community.

4. Participate in planning, development, implementation of off-site and on-site vocational opportunities.

5. Monitor and ensure the health, safety, rights and dignity of individuals to encourage their independence while in the program, in the community, and at work sites, in accord with individual choice and human rights.

6. Planning and coordinating off-site placements, including scheduling, transportation, work performance, training and family and team communication.

7. Provide and log job development contacts and activities.

8. Model a professional appearance and demeanor while at the program and at community work sites, treating all recipients, staff, and families as valued adults.

9. Use own vehicle to transport individuals to and from work sites, travel training, developing alternative transportation and monitoring of the same.

10. Evening and Weekend work when needed.

11. Assist with Job Coaching supports as needed

12. Case management duties as assigned

13. Support program participant’s right to express their religious affiliations and cultural traditions through preferred and relevant activities.

14. Support diversity of individuals served through respect of religious preferences and/or cultural backgrounds.

Requirements: Two (2) years’ experience in job development and/or job support services. Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities in community vocational settings. Strong communication skills. Marketing and business experience. Possession of a valid Driver’s license, a good driving record and a willingness to use personal or agency vehicle in the course of employment. Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with assistance of another employee.

Preference: Bachelor’sDegree in related field, Supervisor experience, CPR, First Aid and Crisis Intervention Training.
