We are looking for a Product Developer to the Heavy Incontinence team within R&D Personal Care to meet the consumer and customer needs, business and brand needs, ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency and competitiveness. We as a team translates consumer needs to product functions and further to product design parameters/technical solutions and establish specifications with relevant targets, methods and tolerances.

The role will be located in Philadelphia and is a permanent position.

As a Product Developer, you will:

  • Manage the required development of new and existing products, as a sub-project leader or project member in cross functional project teams
  • Have many external contacts, such as material- and machine suppliers and test institutes
  • Your work will involve regular consumer contact and the position will cover tasks in early idea generation to production and launch
  • Perform test runs in factory and on pilot machine
  • Execute activities for claim substantiation
  • Lead and/or participate in R&D enabling projects/activities to improve state of readiness for future innovation

Key Competencies

  • Bachelors or Masters degree within a technical field, preferably Mechanical, Industrial Design, Chemistry or equivalent within relevant practice
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience within product development, product life cycle management or similar relevant experience
  • Experience from project management is beneficial
  • Experience from using modelling and simulation tools in product development is valuable
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel as the function requires visits to factories and suppliers both in and outside North America. You are expected to travel 30-60 days per year
