Job Description


The PDI Detail Tech is a vital member of our team and is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and preparation of new arrivals and customer vehicles. The work produced by our Detail / PDI team helps ensure that our customers have a positive and exciting experience surrounding their purchase.

This position is available for first or second shift!

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Sales staff to arrange new and used inventory on lot.
  • Assist with the inspection of new vehicle arrivals for accuracy, quality, defects, and fully operational systems.
  • Perform thorough detailing to the interior and exterior of vehicles for superior customer satisfaction.
  • Complete inspection checklists according to established processes and provide critical documentation.
  • Check and fill fluids to OEM specifications.
  • Ability to safely operate required shop tools and steam-cleaning equipment.
  • Restore appearance to vehicles utilizing buffers, special revitalizers or cleaning agents, and touch-up paint or dyes.
  • Continually maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area according to Elite Support and TCI company standards.
  • Use of proper personal protective and safety equipment.
  • Attend departmental meetings as scheduled and report safety or quality issues immediately to supervisor.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned with a continued focus on quality, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications


Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of trade education or work experience as a PDI tech is highly preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet insurance requirements is mandatory
  • Class B or Class A CDL with air brake endorsement is highly preferred
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and dexterity with tools and shop equipment
  • Strong personal conviction for producing quality work and to safety within a fast-paced environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills; proficiency using tablets and associated apps
  • Organized work habits and a keen eye for detail to thrive independently
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. unassisted
