Sales Consultant | Luxury Furnishings & Textiles | Dallas, TX

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven sales executive to join a long-established global brand that is admired and cherished in the industry.

The Sales Consultant is based at the Dallas showroom reporting to the National Sales Manager that is part of the US Sales team responsible for growing and maintaining sales and relationships within the design community and high-end residential clientele. The position requires a highly motivated individual with an interest in interior design and the ability to sell to and manage the expectations of clientele.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Grow and maintain sales of high-end residential carpet within a designated region/client list; meet and exceed established revenue plans
  • Prospect for new clientele on a continuous basis
  • Create and sustain close relationships with the design community and clientele.
  • Generate sales in accordance with the established pricing lists in order to achieve expected gross margin on all orders
  • Manage projects by completing initial quotes, design requests, P&E requests and sample requests in our software system. Work with clients to obtain approvals of artwork and samples for orders.
  • Liaise with the internal design department to ensure custom creations meet the client’s requirements in order to submit orders to the factory.
  • Work closely with the Showroom Administrator and Operations Specialist to ensure booked orders are progressing as expected through the manufacturing and shipping/delivery schedule
  • Communicate all pertinent order information to clients in a professional manner
  • Provide sales and bookings forecasts to Management, as requested
  • Manage travel and entertainment expenses within the established budget

Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum successful sales experience, selling to the interior design community
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or interior design is preferred
  • Knowledge of the high-end carpet industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Possess sufficient computer acumen to learn internal software systems
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills, highly motivated, team player
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel to design firms and client locations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary + Commissions + Full Benefits Package
