Dermatology Medical Assistant Job at Denver Skin Doctors
A physician-owned dermatology practice at Rose Medical Center is seeking a dermatology medical assistant who will also be cross-trained for front office duties. We are looking for a certified medical assistant, preferably with dermatology experience, but open to a motivated and fast learner without these qualifications.
Successful candidates will be assisting one physician in duties including, but not limited to:
-Scheduling patient appointments
-Checking insurance eligibility
-Greeting and checking in patients
-Managing patient payments
-Rooming patients
-Calling in prescriptions and handling refill requests and prior authorizations
-Handling faxes, emails, and other clerical work
-Setting up and assisting with procedures including shave and punch biopsies and excisions
-Basic maintenance of office cleanliness including patient rooms and staff kitchen/break room
-Managing biopsy log book and calling patients with results
-Cleaning and sterilizing of surgical equipment
-Basic wound care and suture removal
-Ordering supplies and inventory management
-Educating patients on use of medications as well as wound care
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
