Schooner is looking for an energetic and kind infant teacher. We are looking for someone who loves children and likes to work as part of a team. We offer a community based work environment, competitive salary and benefits.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Developing current lesson plans based on school guidelines and monthly themes.
• Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Creating a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level

Minimum Requirements

• Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six.
• The applicant must be able to adhere to all Department of Child and Family Services requirements including being background checked
• COVID vaccinated
• Proof of up to date physical, TB Test, and immunizations

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
