Qualifications

This is an exciting opportunity for Data Scientist-Senior #IN997 in Columbus, Indiana.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Utilize knowledge of industrial engineering principles and practices to solve complex analytical problems.
  • Build and deliver optimal analytics and data science solutions.
  • Research, design, implement and validate complex algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes by leveraging complex statistical and predictive modeling concepts.
  • Develop statistical and machine learning models using appropriate variable transformations, feature selection strategies, imputation strategies, class rebalancing, resampling strategies, and performance metrics to generate descriptive, explanatory, or predictive models.
  • Analyze complex business systems, industry requirements and data regulations.
  • Perform comprehensive Requirements Analysis for to evaluate relationships and interdependencies between requirements based upon their complexity and value to the business to determine feasibility and prioritization.
  • Perform data mining, text mining, and statistical analysis of warranty and service data for automotive applications using Big Data technologies including SQL query language.
  • Utilize industrial engineering and data science methodologies to define the research, design, implementation, and validation of cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes by leveraging complex statistical and predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques.
  • Engage in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
  • Build statistical explanatory models for regression, classification, outlier detection, anomaly detection, and time series forecasting utilizing innovative data science and analytical models to validate hypotheses or generate predictions for industrial analytics projects.
  • Utilize Agile software development methodologies to manage projects such as software development and advanced analytics product development to increase productivity and deliver products that meet value to customers.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Building analytical solutions.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications:

  • Positions require a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Scientist, Analytics Engineer or related position.
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Scientist, Analytics Engineer or related position

JOB SITE: Columbus, Indiana.

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
