Requirements
Preferred Education:
- Masters-level degree in Data Science/Applied Mathematics/computer science (specialized in machine learning/Artificial Intelligence)/Statistics or closely related field with data science specialization
Requirements:
- Bachelors with 5+ years or Master’s with 3 + years of relevant work experience in statistical modeling and data mining using large and complex datasets. Experience with healthcare and/or insurance data is a plus.
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Experience in statistical modeling techniques such as regression models, Classification models, clustering, neural networks etc. to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, and other business outcomes
. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Experience with fuzzy-logic matching algorithms used for matching records across disparate data sources.
- The candidate must have exceptionally strong data cleansing, organizing, analyzing, and visualization skills; experience with PowerBI is a plus
- Experience working with cloud analytic platforms on AWS/Azure/ Google Cloud using PySpark/ Sagemaker, Synapse Analytics, etc.
- Aptitude in performing multiple tasks and dealing with changing deadline requirements. This includes knowing when to escalate issues. Maintains a focused, flexible, organized, and proactive manner.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, written and oral communication skills
. Ability to communicate results and insights in a clear, concise manner to the business.
Data Scientist Skills:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist
Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Pyspark/Snowpark
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau/PowerBI)
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills (e.g. statistics)
Critical thinking and Problem-solving aptitude
Effective communication skills
