Job Description
***This position is a Hybrid role with 1-2 days in office for candidates local to Chicago but open for complete remote applicants as well***
What you'll be doing
The US Data Management Office is responsible for establishing data as a strategic asset for CIBC US Region, further enhancing data governance, building out our data and analytic capabilities, and developing the US Region data management strategy.
Reporting to the Data Management Director, US Region; the Data Operations Analyst is a key member of the team. This person will be a highly organized, technically sophisticated, and detail-oriented individual that will need to collaborate with the business and fellow DMO colleagues to assure data is accurate for reporting.
This position will focus on different areas within Data Management, including Data Quality, Production support, and User Acceptance testing.
  • Manage new data quality intakes as well as assure data quality is executed daily in a timely manner
  • Work within Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI to enhance Data Quality functionality
  • Prepare expected results and test Production bugs before deployments
  • Become SME for the Application Data Mart and perform testing for new data intakes

Who you are
  • You’re a professional. 3-5 years of experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
  • You can demonstrate experience in commonly used Business Intelligence tools, e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or other similar tools
  • You have a degree/diploma
  • You're fluent in English with proven strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • You embrace and advocate for change. Experience in rapidly changing environments; ability to adapt to changing priorities and be able to concisely organize and present the impact of those changes to leadership
  • You give meaning to data. Highly developed critical reasoning skills with a passion about the "why"
  • You love to learn. Proven self-starter requiring little oversight
