Act as subject matter expert for Ameritas on Collibra system with a focus on metadata and data catalog.

This Collibra Administrator position is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the Collibra system within Ameritas. Working with autonomy, this position will partner with business stakeholders from across the enterprise to define terminology. Work within Collibra to harvest table fields and study metadata.

What you do

  • Assist in technical leadership and setting direction for Collibra and related platform environments
  • Provide technical leadership to project team members on complex system development or enhancement projects through the design, development and implementation of systems and applications that impact multiple business areas, adhering to project management requirements
  • Responsible for research and development activities of a complex nature which affect Collibra environment while reviewing technical documents for projects to ensure documents are kept up-to-date
  • Make decisions, guided by policies and business plans that impact level of service and the department's ability to meet performance objectives
  • Evaluate environment against SLA agreements considering capacity planning which involves projecting future resource requirements and making recommendations, logical and physical database design activities for complex databases and establishing processes for consistently implementing the data definition language constructs necessary for maintenance of relational database objects, eg. tables, indices…
  • Establish and enforce database and other job-related standards
  • Resolve complex hardware and software problems and provide expert guidance in the resolution of application and performance issues driving others toward resolution
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan which may include an annual exercise of the plan
  • Responsible for Identifying systems and platform changes needed and lead in implementing changes to Identify roles and responsibilities of projects, create and review estimates and time lines for scheduled tasks, maintain and update technical documentation, create training documents if necessary, provide mentoring on technical direction for DBA staff, prepare and present formal training in database areas
  • Communicate and collaborate with upper level Management and Architects to provide business solutions

What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology field required
  • 4-7 years Information Technology experience required, with a focus on experience in the Collibra system.
  • Direct hands-on experience with Collibra strongly desired. Experience with other data catalog tools such as Alation might be considered as a substitute.
  • Collibra certifications are desired.

Salary range $96,422 to $154,276 per year.
