We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer - Technical Lead position to join our Team. This position manages a team of Data Engineers and designs target state architectures for structured and unstructured data. This position can be 100% remote depending on your location.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the architectural direction for the data domain that is aligned with business goals. Creates and advances the data architecture vision and strategy
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members
  • Lead project-level architectural reviews and ensures alignment with architectural deliverables, principles, strategies and standards
  • Lead the design, documentation, and analysis to maintain a holistic view of data assets by creating and maintaining blueprints that illustrate how data is stored, processed, and accessed
  • Collaborate with other senior technical members/peers and lead the creation of models, architecture design work products, and new technology innovation initiatives within area(s) of responsibility and for the enterprise
  • Lead the design, documentation, and analysis of the business architecture in their area and provides recommendations to ensure the delivery of an integrated, holistic solution
  • Collaborate with enterprise, solution, and domain architects to understand the implications of respective architectures on data architecture and maximize the value of information across the organization
  • Work with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts in driving effective data management standards and policies across the organization
  • Provide recommendations on business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes
  • Lead technology portfolio prioritization efforts and owns the management of technology portfolio within area(s) of responsibility
  • Provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of enterprise data assets, including the external data ecosystem through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies and enabling business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data management, storage and analytics
  • Build credibility for an initiative by presenting evidence and ensuring that individuals affected are included in the process at the outset
  • Participate as a member of one or more architectural review boards that ensure architecture quality and compliance
  • Lead short and long-term initiatives and road mapping efforts that drive change and gains support for proposed solutions
  • Work with multiple teams under Enterprise Data Management and acts as a leader to influence enterprise direction/approach and the strategic planning process
  • Educate business and IT partners on information architecture. Contributes ideas and makes recommendations to improve the process followed for work product by making it more efficient and effective

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' working in data architect capacity with multi-platform, distributed applications
  • 3+ years' managing effective data teams focused on data monetization initiatives
  • 3+ years' with Agile, Six Sigma, SDLC and industry standard Data Management & Data Governance methodologies
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including complex data structures, data transformations and data analytics
  • Knowledge of leveraging unstructured data including imaged documents, 3rd party data, web traffic data, etc.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture design concepts
  • System modeling and diagramming approaches
  • System integration techniques and patterns
  • Understand information security and industry security best practices in regards to data
  • Experience with multi-platform, distributed application implementations across SQL Server, Cloud based data warehouses such as AWS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience working with cross-functional teams, and presenting to leadership
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a related field

Preferred:

  • Experience in BigData
  • Banking/FinTech industry experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,516.24 - $133,094.83 per year
