Some of the functions the Customer Service Representative will perform:

  • Answer incoming phone calls politely and efficiently
  • Complete emails to customers concerning customer service related issues
  • Respond via social media to customer service related issues
  • Mail correspondence to customers and file appropriate tracking information Consistently promotes a “We Serve!” customer service approach and where a “keeping them coming back” attitude is the norm
  • Understands how attitude impacts our ability to be of service by employing proven customer service methods and practices consistently. Knows when to escalate issues
  • Determines requirements by working with customers and always promoting
  • Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems
  • Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests
  • May sell additional services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell customers; explaining new features
  • Maintains call center database by entering information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Keeps equipment operational by following established procedures; reporting malfunctions
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities as resources permit
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

The ideal candidate will have among other skills and abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably in the retail industry
  • Clear Communication Skills—ability to articulate responses to ensure customer understanding.
  • Time Management Skills—ability to be aware of time serving the customer.
  • Ability to ""Read"" Customers—to be able to look and listen for subtle clues about current mood, patience level, personality, etc.
  • Experience building cross-browser compatible mobile friendly solutions
  • Owners mindset; takes ownership over everything within scope of responsibility while empowering others to do the same
  • Embody an Adventure guide; passion for the business, bringing curiosity and innovation to the job
  • Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems
  • Adaptability; flexible to changing market forces and shifting priorities
  • Desire to continuously improve

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Taylor, MI 48180: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
