The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, a skilled nursing and independent living community, is actively seeking candidates for a Custodian position. This is a non-supervisory position that performs housekeeping and maintenance tasks in accordance with daily work assignments or as assigned to ensure the community is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg is offering a $250 sign-on bonus for this position. Available positions may change throughout the course of the promotion. Occasional, or casual, positions do not qualify. Bonus will be paid upon completion of 90 days of employment.

Duties include:

• Housekeeping services include but are not limited to: cleaning resident rooms, including furnishings; cleaning bathrooms and tub/shower rooms; cleaning public areas; cleaning walls, ceilings, windows, floors, stairways, and elevators; cleaning dining areas; and other spaces as directed.
• Performs maintenance duties such as repairing wheel chairs, replacing bed motors and remotes, and running various housekeeping and maintenance equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of commercial housekeeping/maintenance experience required.
• Ability to push, pull, lift or move a minimum of 50 lbs.
