CUSTODIAN

Check-Mate Manufacturing has openings for Custodian. This position will perform routine cleaning and custodial tasks and assist in maintaining manufacturing facility in such a manner that will maximize up-time with the least cost; and will maintain a clean, professional atmosphere at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes, but may not be limited to the following

• Custodian cleans general office area, waiting room, managers’ offices, supervisors’ office, suppliers.
• Custodian restock toilet tissue, soap in all bathrooms.
• Custodian vacuum and/or sweep mats daily.
• Custodian dust furniture.
• Custodian clean windows and glass doors as needed.
• Custodian clean water cooler and ice machines.
• Custodian cleans lunchroom.
• Custodian sweep and mop floors daily.
• Custodian empty wastebaskets and garbage cans daily.
• Custodian wash lunch-room tables, counters, and sinks daily.
• Custodian wash lunch-room chairs, exterior of refrigerators, microwave ovens, and vending machines as needed.
• Custodian cleans outside patio.
• Custodian clean inside of refrigerators and microwave ovens as needed.
• Custodian cleans bathrooms as well as the following areas:
  • Sweep and mop floors daily.
  • Empty wastebaskets daily.
  • Clean toilets, sinks, countertops daily.
  • Wash walls and stall walls as needed.
  • Fill towel holders as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• 3-5 years cleaning experience in a manufacturing and/or office setting
• 3-5 years’ janitorial experience
• Must possess the ability to take the initiative to complete necessary tasks with little supervision.
• Self-motivated and organized
• Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
