About us
Meridian Behavioral Health is a small business based in Memphis providing outpatient drug and alcohol treatment in various locations in West Tennessee, incuding Dyersburg, Union City and Brownsville. Our goal is to Provide high quality outpatient treatment to clients struggling with substance use .
We are looking for a Counselor to join our team and provide support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic listener with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients. The Counselor will be responsible for assessing the needs of clients, providing guidance and advice, and helping them develop strategies to cope with their issues. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of mental health services and community resources available to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Listen to and understand clients’ concerns.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health and behavior.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Maintain client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Refer clients to other professionals when necessary.
- Provide education on mental health topics.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
