Cost Report Staff Accountant Job at Rockport Healthcare Services
Position Description: Someone to assist in Medicare cost report preparation and will do clerical jobs related to cost report like gathering data.
Qualifications:
- Accounting background that includes but not limited to: Account Analysis; Accounting; General Ledger Accounting; General Ledger Reconciliation; Account Reconciliation; Accounts Payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Self-motivated and reliable professional with experience in Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement cost reporting and health care financial accounting and auditing.
- Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform the tasks required.
- willing to work overtime if necessary and will report at the office full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of Medicare Cost Reports for skilled nursing facilities.
- Interact with other departments such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Payroll for cost report data gathering.
- Interact with auditors and supervise staff in submission of the audit requirements and inquiries.
- Serves as the primary contact for reimbursement issues, analyzes the issues, and makes recommendations for corrective action.
- Analysis and review of financial reports
- Preparation of audit schedules for third party and financial auditors.
- Prepare and provide the needs of the Auditors during the annual audits.
