We’re seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with transportation estimating experience to prepare capital cost of estimates ranging in size from $25M-$25B and support of our projects and clients across the country. The types of projects include heavy civil, highway, bridge, transit, rail and urban development. The location should be near a local office, but the role will transition from office to teleworking with time.
This role will review design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attend design development meetings and assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop the estimates.

You will work with a knowledgeable and supportive team as you prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take-offs, assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, apply construction means and methods, calculate indirect field and owner’s costs.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Progressive cost estimating experience in civil, roads, bridges, and/or light rail station/mass transit projects
• Proficient use of MS Office products, and HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

• Bachelors' degree
• 5-15 years of estimating and construction experience.
• Ability to modify your estimating methodology based on the level of design for each project.

Typical salary range for this position is $65,800 to $157,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. For “remote” positions, salary to be offered is geographic dependent.
