Corporate Labor Relations Manager


Silgan Containers is hiring a Corporate Labor Relations Manager in our Oconomowoc, WI office.

This role is designed to further your professional development and prepare you for advancement into the Regional Labor Relations Manager role and beyond.


What you’ll do:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Silgan union and non-union plant management teams around the country.
  • Assist Silgan plants in employee relations, training and development, health and safety programs, company policy implementation, and coordination of the annual Wage and Benefits review at non-union plants.
  • Promote and maintain optimum employee-management relations.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; a master's degree in business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Legal, or JD preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with intimate knowledge of local labor regulations and collective bargaining.
  • Experience in a union shop that includes processing grievances, contract administration, and participating in collective bargaining.
  • Experience with employee relations, organizational development, and benefits administration.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% per year, which includes overnights.
